Hiking Trails
Bash Bish Falls State Park
Has the State’s most dramatic waterfall, cascading 80 ft. into a sparkling pool. Steep climbs and decent to and from the falls. 30 miles of trails nearby in Mt. Washington State Forest.

Monument Mountain
Three miles of trail with steep portions leading to the 1700 ft. summit of rocky Squaw Peak. Parking off Route 7, north of Great Barrington.

Climb through a forest to the fire tower with a view of the southern Berkshires, or climb over and between the giant rock formations of Ice Glen. Begin at the foot bridge at the end of Park Street. When the trail splits, Ice Glen is to the right.
Tyringham Cobble
A two mile looped trial crosses a pasture, then climbs to the top of Cobble Hill with views of the valley and the hamlet of Tyringham. Parking area on Jerusalem Road just west of Main Road.

Benedict Pond, Beartown Forest

Bartholomew’s Cobble
A flyway for 250 bird species, this 300 acre reservation has a network of forest, meadow and high viewpoint trails overlooking the Housatonic River valley. A unique area owned by the Trustees of Reservations.
